The Insurance Brokers Association of the State of New York (IBANY) recognized seven individuals at its Emerging Leaders Reception on June 28. 

The inaugural class of IBANY Emerging Leaders was in 2015, and IBANY is proud to carry the tradition of supporting the newest generation of insurance industry professionals. Many Emerging Leaders bring the same outstanding drive and talent from their companies to their membership with the association. They embrace the association – become more involved and energetic volunteers and ambassadors.

• Committed to the evolution of the insurance industry.

 The IBANY Board of Directors voted anonymously in three categories to select three Emerging Leaders of the Year from the pool of honorees:

• The Carrier Member Category Emerging Leader of the Year is Peter Bosset, Manager, Broker Intelligence for Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance.
• The Retail Broker Category Emerging Leader of the Year is Daniel Verdun, Senior Underwriter, Personal Insurance for Burns & Wilcox.
• The Wholesale-Broker Category Emerging Leader of the Year is Austin Lyon, CSP, Risk Control Consultant for Gallagher.
