IBANY stands against the inequalities brought on by discrimination. We reject all forms of racism and add our voices to those calling for the dismantling of systemic and institutionalized racism that has existed for generations in the United States.  Our goal has always been to Educate, Develop, and Inform our members. To do our part effectively moving forward, we will be taking the following actions.

IBANY will proactively reach out to a diverse group of members for feedback on presenters and content development that speaks to all genders, ages, and races.

IBANY will continue to develop the next generation of industry professionals through our Emerging Leaders program, the Charlie McCrann Scholarship and our Education Awards which have focused on diversity since their inception.

IBANY will work to attract, support, and acknowledge member firms that support diversity efforts to participate in our networking events and to promote a welcoming atmosphere for people of all cultural backgrounds.

IBANY will continue to educate, inform, and serve as a resource to members on legislative and regulatory matters affecting our industry while continuing to develop a diverse board of directors and welcome fresh voices and opinions.

IBANY will continue to serve our Metro New York insurance community and advocate for our profession to be more inclusive and representative of the populations we serve. We ask for your support in these efforts. Let’s be part of the solution, not the problem.
