Each year, every IBANY member firm is invited to choose one if its employees as an IBANY Emerging Leader in recognition of their outstanding accomplishments, demonstrated leadership and commitment to the industry. IBANY honors the Emerging Leaders from all our members companies at a special reception. The year's Emerging Leaders are featured in an industry publication and on the IBANY website. From among all Emerging Leaders identified each year, one from each of our membership categories is designated as IBANY Emerging Leader of the Year. IBANY Emerging Leaders will have not yet reached a senior-level position, but their track-record should reflect a strong potential for appointment at the highest levels of the profession.

Meet our 2017 Emerging Leaders

 

IBANY Emerging Leaders:

  • Must be an employee of an IBANY member organization
  • Must be 40 or under with a minimum of three years, and a maximum of fifteen years, as an insurance industry professional
  • Must not be a senior-level officer of the organization

IBANY Emerging Leaders will receive the following benefits:

  • Complimentary tickets to the IBANY awards event for the honoree and a guest of their choice
  • Public recognition at the IBANY awards event and at commencement of all IBANY events through-out the year
  • Recognition in IBANY e-communications and social media 
  • A listing on the IBANY website
  • Recognition and congratulations in outside media publications
  • An “IBANY Emerging Leader” trophy

IBANY Emerging Leaders of the Year will also receive:

  • A large Tiffany crystal “IBANY Emerging Leader of the Year” trophy
  • Complimentary registration for one year of IBANY programs

Nomination and Selection Process

Each IBANY member company may identify one IBANY Emerging Leader and may establish its own process for identifying its IBANY Emerging Leader designee. Primary contacts for each member company will receive a letter from IBANY designating them as the individual who may submit the name of the company’s Emerging Leader designee to IBANY.

The primary contact may provide whatever materials they wish to summarize the nominee's achievements, growth in professional stature and accomplishments in sufficient detail, to document why this individual should be recognized as one of IBANY’s Emerging Leaders of the Year. Nominations should contain sufficient information to facilitate the selection process without additional research being required. The contact may submit resumes, press clippings, letters of recommendation or any other information they feel should be considered. The contact information form and any supplemental information submitted by the nominator will be the only factors considered in the selection process. The IBANY board will conduct an anonymous vote to select the three Emerging Leaders of the Year. Only the IBANY association manager will be privy to the results of this vote prior to the presentation of the awards.
