FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Insurance Brokers’ Association of the State of New York Elects New President NEW YORK, NY (4/21/21) – Renée A. McFadden, CIC, CPL, Vice President and Sales Executive of Distinguished Programs, has been elected to serve as president of the Insurance Brokers’ Association of the State of New York.
Ms. McFadden was elected to the Board of Directors in 2014, appointed to the Executive Committee in 2017 and sworn in as president on April 21, 2021.

I look forward to working with the board and serving the members of this illustrious organization. Ms. McFadden is Vice President and NY/NJ Sales Executive at Distinguished Programs, a national insurance program manager providing specialized insurance programs to independent brokers and agents with specific expertise in Real Estate including Community Associations, Hospitality and Restaurants. Ms. McFadden is a multi-state licensed property/casualty insurance broker. Prior to Distinguished Programs, for close to 10 years, Ms. McFadden represented multinational insurance carriers, such as Wausau Insurance and Royal & SunAlliance.
Ms. McFadden earned her bachelor’s degree in Law from St. John’s University. She also holds the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and the Certified Programs Leader (CPL) designations, respectively from The Society of Certified Insurance Counselors and The Target Markets Programs Administrators Association.
In 2016, Ms. McFadden was named Industry Professional of the Year by Professional Insurance Agents of NY and served as the 2017 and 2018 Metropolitan Regional Awareness Program committee chair. She currently chairs the awards committee of The Insurance Brokers’ Association of the State of New York (IBANY), which serves to recognize our industry’s emerging leaders. Ms. McFadden is also a member of the National African American Insurance Association’s (NAAIA) New York Chapter.
