When asked to submit a thought leadership piece on Women’s Rights for the March edition of IBANY’s white paper series, I racked my brain trying to think of the most impactful message during such an impactful year. Do I ask an EPLI professional to help me craft a piece analyzing the #MeToo impact on insurance and the exposures New York businesses face? As the #MeToo movement expands beyond sexual harassment to the unfair treatment of women more broadly, I couldn’t bear to stray away from the root cause of the problem. Instead, I decided to focus on how valuable it has been to be part of a strong female network to help me combat #MeToo moments throughout my career.
