IBANY takes pride in offering member engagement opportunities for emerging leaders up to top-level executives throughout the industry. Members include insurance carriers, retail, and wholesale insurance brokers and agents, as well as those who provide professional services and engage with the brokerage community.
For more than a century IBANY has represented the interests of the New York Metro insurance marketplace. IBANY advocates for the insurance profession to be more inclusive and representative of the populations we serve. The association is overseen by a volunteer board of highly influential members in the insurance community. IBANY provides a platform for education, professional development, and networking resources.
IBANY is a great organization that offers members the opportunity to give back to the community while developing deeper relationships with others in the industry.
The IBANY Virtual Open House on April 14th hosted a conversation with prospective members and current members looking to increase their engagement:
- IBANY hosts premier networking events for the insurance industry. It does not matter your tenure; everyone is welcoming and open to conversation. Whether you are breaking into a new sector or established in your role, there are valuable connections to be made across all facets of the industry.
- Monthly IBANY educational programs feature leaders and industry experts on a variety of timely topics. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the majority of our program is hosted virtually and we look to transition back to in-person programming soon.
- The IBANY Emerging Leaders Awards Reception recognizes rising stars in the insurance industry. Each IBANY member company submits one colleague who reflects ongoing and exceptional growth and increased levels of leadership and responsibility as an honoree.
- The IBANY Education Awards and Scholarships can be used to obtain insurance licenses, designation or continuing education credits.
- IBANY established the IBANY Education Foundation 501(c)(3) with a mission of supporting the industry through education programs and educational grants and awards. We look forward to unveiling the website soon.
