The world has changed in ways no one could imagine impacting every aspect of our lives, including how people gather. To continue the education and information sharing among our community, IBANY has taken its programming online.  During our April 21st webinar on COVID-19, presenters shared their professional experience and insight and answered questions provided by our participants about the pandemic's impact on the insurance industry.

IBANY members were invited to donate to  Mayor's NYC COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund when register and raised over $1,400 in donations in support of health care workers, local businesses, displaced hourly workers, families, youth, and vulnerable New Yorkers experiencing the unprecedented impacts of COVID-19.  To support this important cause, members can donate directly, DONATE HERE

Renee McFadden

Renée McFadden began her insurance career in 1994 as an in-house paralegal for a national insurance company, after graduating from St. John’s University with a BS in Law. In 1997, she transitioned into an underwriting/sales role partnering with national and local brokerage houses. Renée currently is the NY/NJ Vice President and Sales Executive at Distinguished Programs, a national insurance program manager providing specialized insurance programs to independent brokers and agents with specific expertise in real estate including community associations, hospitality and cultural institutions. Renee, is a multi-state licensed property/casualty insurance broker. In 2016, she was named Industry Professional of the Year by Professional Insurance Agents PIANY and served as the 2017 MetroRAP Committee chair. She is Executive Vice President of the IBANY board of directors and chairs the Awards Committee which serves to recognize our industry’s leaders. Renée holds the Certified Insurance Counselor designation as well as Target Markets’ Certified Programs Leader designation.

Maria Treglia

Maria Treglia has over 25 years of industry experience and primarily acts as a resource for hundreds of retail brokers in obtaining specialized solutions for their clients in the Directors & Officers (D & O) and Professional Liability (E & O) product areas. She frequently speaks at industry events and has presented for PLUS and The College of Insurance, and participated in discussions regarding malpractice and the current state of the industry. Maria has authored a number of articles on professional liability that have been published and featured in some of the world's top insurance trade publications including National Underwriter, The Solicitor, Real Estate Broker's Insider, Red Orbit, The John Liner Review and Insurance Advocate magazines.


BernieGoldmanBernard Goldman leads Foa & Son’s legal and sales teams. An experienced trial attorney specializing in high exposure liability and sophisticated insurance coverage matters, Bernie offers clients creative multi-disciplinary solutions to their most complex risk management challenges. Prior to joining Foa & Son, he spent more than sixteen years with a Fortune 100 property & casualty insurance company in executive roles with responsibilities including legal, sales, underwriting, loss control, and finance/accounting. Bernie received his J.D. Cum Laude, from St. John’s University School of Law, and his B.A. degree in accounting with honor from the City University of New York at Queens College.


Chris HaigleChris R. Hagle began his career 20 years ago as a retail broker with a heavy focus on the hospitality industry. In 2009 he joined IPOA to oversee and develop its’ current Brokerage and Property & Casualty Programs. Shortly after in 2010, Chris co-founded Risk Advisors of America to provide proprietary risk management solutions for select industries. As President of IPOA, Chris oversees all daily operations including sales, underwriting, and claims for both its Wholesale and MGA divisions.
