Hank Watkins began his new role as Executive Director & Associate Dean of the Greenberg School of Risk Management at St. John’s University on November 1, transitioning to academia following 15 years at Lloyd's as Regional Director & President, Americas. Before joining Lloyd's in 2009, Hank held a range of underwriting, client management, sales and leadership positions in the US and Europe at Chubb, Johnson & Higgins/Marsh and HRH. He holds a degree in political science from the University of California, Berkeley and completed an executive leadership program at The Wharton School. Board service over the past decade has included the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation, the Insurance Information Institute, BritishAmerican Business, the Insurance Federation of New York and the Board of Overseers at the Greenberg School.

Our 2024 Insurance Person of the Year is Linda Merenguelli of HUB International NE!
Linda Merenguelli is Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of HUB International Northeast. Linda leads placement efforts and manages carrier relationships to ensure optimal outcomes for both clients and carrier partners, with extensive expertise in real estate and large property deals.With 20+ years of insurance marketing experience Linda has served HUB for the past 17 supporting the commercial lines marketing department and her colleagues who told us she is one of. HUB’s greatest mentors of young brokers just entering our business Before joining HUB, Linda served as a marketing executive for CBS Coverage Group. Linda had the pleasure of training with Lloyd's of London Andrew Beazley Broker Academy, with a concentration in marketing for property coverages. She has been named one of Insurance Business America’s 2022 Hot 100, was named to the Top 50 Woman in Business for Long Island in 2020 and supports fundraising events for numerous charities, including the Lupus Research Alliance.
