Kregler Headshot

James Kregler is a Senior Vice President of Chubb Life Sciences. Based in New York, he is responsible for the oversight and development of Chubb Life Sciences Major Accounts underwriting team. In this role, James is responsible for developing and implementing strategies designed to deliver Chubb’s comprehensive insurance solutions for large domestic and multinational Life Sciences companies. James Kregler began his career with Chubb in 2003 and has over 16 years of experience in the field of Life Sciences insurance. He specializes in underwriting product liability and E&O exposures for pharmaceuticals, biologics, medical devices, nutritional supplements, and life science service organizations. He has extensive knowledge with both domestic and multinational clinical trials.

 

John Parente John Parente is Vice President – Life Science and leads the global life science team at Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance and is responsible for risk appetite, product development, policy terms and oversight of the underwriting team. John also plays a key role in relationship management of brokers and clients throughout the life science market. Life sciences consists of risks in pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, medical devices and clinical trials. John’s background has him well-positioned for the life science field. He holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Georgia and has spent many years working in biotech as both a research scientist and a business development specialist. John started his insurance career at Lexington Insurance as a technical specialist. He joined Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance in 2014 to start their Life Sciences program and has continued to grow and develop their Life Sciences business.

 

Darlene Villoresi Darlene Villoresi is a managing director and the leads Marsh’s Products Liability team for Life Sciences. In this capacity, she also serves as a senior broker on many complex product risks. She works on various types of clients in this space including branded and generic pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical devices, OTCs, CROs, CMO’s clinical trials, and professional/ E&O. She has extensive relationships in the worldwide marketplace and uses her expertise strategically to negotiate price, terms, conditions, and structure in the implementation of product liability programs for her clients. Prior to her current role, she served as leader of the Risk Management Casualty Department in Marsh's Morristown, New Jersey office from 2005 until 2012. She joined Marsh in 1992 and has had various positions in casualty including client representative, client advisor, and team leader. Responsibilities of these positions included servicing, marketing, negotiating, and designing primary and excess casualty programs as well as addressing specific risk management needs of US and global clients.

JustinFoaJustin Foa joined Foa & Son in 2000 and rose to the position of president and CEO in 2006. He is the fifth generation of his family to lead Foa & Son and is responsible for steady and impressive growth. Before joining his family’s firm, Justin worked for more than 10 years with multinational insurance brokerage firms, including Aon Risk Services, where he was vice president in the Mergers and Acquisitions Insurance Division. Justin was elected to the IBANY Board of Directors in 2010, appointed to the Executive Committee in 2015, and became president in April 2019. A member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) Metro Chapter, he sits on the chapter’s membership committee. Justin also serves as board chairman of The Tanenbaum Center for Interreligious Understanding, a non-denominational organization that fights religious hatred and is a former president of the Columbus Citizen’s Foundation Young Adults Auxiliary Group.
